Eating in- and outdoors, call of nature, water in booze

And the prophet said: There will come a time when thou shalt eat thy take-away meals at home and thy eat-in meals outdoors.

As a species we started by dining indoors and going outside to answer the call of nature, and progressed to where we dine outdoors and go inside to answer the call of nature.

To pee or not to pee, our jeans, job interviews

To pee or not to pee – that is the question at half past five in the morning when the alarm clock is set for six a.m.

Our grandparents’ jeans were stronger. Our jeans have been modified to within an inch of their existence, especially at the knees and thighs. 

 

There are two reasons you can be turned down for a job – you are underqualified for the price they are offering to pay, hence you are no value for money; you are overqualified for the price they are offering to pay, hence you will not stay long.

Discrimination against the ears, face covering, highs and lows

The advice ‘cover your mouth and nose’ discriminates against the ears. It’s the ears that have taken the most abuse in this year of pestilence. The question is: cui bono?

The teenagers today have it easier than their parents’ generation. They don’t have to look at people’s faces.
